What does any of that matter. If the debate was about the public why wouldn’t the public be able to participate, it is however about the candidate showing the public the difference in choice if they didn’t know one or the other or both. Let’s be real anyone who cares knows the difference knows both parties and exactly who they are voting for regardless of the truth. While we are talking about the truth, we all vote for who we believe to be the lesser of the two evils or who we have been brainwashed into believing.

What trump is saying is that he is not smart enough to debate Ms. Harris and a debate will just make him look as dumb and stupid as he has always been. The air accordian has lost it's appeal.

ONe reason the "weird" attack vector hits so hard is the nature of conservatism. Conservatives, and reactionaries, are *deeply* invested in getting to define what is "normal" and what is not. I'm a bit eccentric which is another word for weird, but I won't take it personally, because it's hard to find a word that perfectly captures the mix of strangeness and wrongness in what the Republican elite do and say these days.
